Commissioned work. This sculpted tobacco pipe in the shape of a deer head is inspired by an antique clay pipe design found on a book, but I’ve rivisited it. For the deer head I’ve used a lot of beautiful photo references taken by the person who commissioned this pipe. Also, the white insert is made of deer antler, and it cames from a piece found by the same person (deers loose their antlers every year and some pieces break off during their battles). All the materials of the pipe are left in their natural colors (calabrian briar bowl, deer antler insert, walnut stem).
